BEKOMOLD Szerszámgyártó Kft. is a member of the multinational BERICAP group of companies, with headquarters in Germany. BERICAP Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of plastic caps. It has 25 factories in 21 countries worldwide, covering Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, as well as North and South America. The Group’s manufacturing units are supported by three R&D centres, enabling continuous innovation, and its own tool-making plant, BEKOMOLD Kft. in Budapest, where the Group’s world-class injection moulding tools are manufactured using state-of-the-art machining equipment and quality raw materials.

These tools, made exclusively in-house, provide the Group with the significant market advantage of being able to provide consistent quality to its customers worldwide, regardless of production site or destination.

Company history

  • 1989 - 2B Első Osztrák Magyar Szerszámgyártó Kft., the predecessor of BEKOMOLD Kft., is founded
  • 1991 - After a change of ownership, the company changed its name to AVA Hungária
  • 1993 - The current ownership structure is established, and tool production is now carried out in two halls
  • 1995 - The company name is changed to BEKOMOLD Szerszámgyártó Kft., by merging the letters of the parent companies (BERICAP + WIKO + MOLD)BERICAP + WIKO + MOLD)
  • 2000 - The 3D design system is introduced
  • 2002 - Commissioning of the first fully robotic EDM device
  • 2007 - 2008-- development of the area between Halls I and II
  • 2011 - Construction of the first robot line.
  • 2012 - Introduction of 5S system at the company, development of EDM together with the installation of additional robot lines
  • 2015 - BEKOMOLD Ltd. received a Good+ rating in a benchmarking audit of around 1,000 similar moulding tool-making companies conducted by the University of Aachen
  • 2016 - With the addition of new EDM equipment and robots, conventional EDM becomes almost fully automated
  • 2017 - Handover of a new 843 m2 production hall
  • 2018-2020 - Introduction of laser technology in the area of conventional EDM, with significant investments in robotisation every year
  • 2021 - BEKOMOLD Ltd. now operates with 44 machine tools and 150 employees as the exclusive moulding tool manufacturer of BERICAP Group

Core business

BEKOMOLD Ltd manufactures high-tech, precision moulding tools for plastic caps for a wide variety of markets. These include caps for beverages, mineral water, dairy products or edible oils, ketchup, mayonnaise; caps for automotive products; for chemicals, agrochemicals; e-cigarettes and pharmaceutical goods.

We manufacture moulds suitable for production runs of hundreds of millions, in versions with up to 96 cavities and in stack design, meeting requirements such as long service life or the shortest possible cycle times.

Accordingly, BEKOMOLD Kft. ensures consistently high-quality production and compliance with the strictest construction, hygiene and safety requirements by continuously improving its own infrastructure.

It can meet the needs of BERICAP factories efficiently, quickly and reliably, using state-of-the-art manufacturing systems, system components and technological solutions.

In order to effectively satisfy customer needs, our company operates a comprehensive quality management system, it has both the ISO 9001:2009 certificate and the ISO 14001:2005 certificate, which is not required for its operation, thus confirming its environmentally conscious behavior.
